For our new friends who are challenged by even the simplest home repairs or maintenance tasks, let me share a little story.
This venture (Sensible Maintenance Solutions) evolved from a personal situation with my Mom.
After Dad passed on, I was surprised how everyday tasks such as changing a light bulb was such a frustration and challenge for my Mom. Dad had always done the home maintenance, not that Mom could not figure out how to “change a light bulb”, she physically could not do it. With her physical limitations, she could not climb a step ladder, she could not properly grasp tools, or even the light bulb itself. Mom could not do for herself even the simplest of chores, let alone any major or even minor repairs. Being a very strong individual, she was never quick to ask for assistant no matter how frustrating it was for her to live without a light bulb being replaced.
Of course it was on my list of things to do when I visited, along with numerous other tasks. These situations have left a lasting impression on me, cultivating a desire to provide solutions to those individuals who have added challenges in their lives due to age or physical limitation.
For you we bend our rules, lower our rates, and ask you to not be frustrated or reluctant to contact us.
No job in your home or apartment is too small for us. Maybe all you need is to have a light bulb, or the batteries in your smoke detector changed. If it is bothering you, let us relieve that stress and inconvenience.
